Job Title: Packaging Manager

Reports to: Senior Management

Job Summary:

The Packaging Manager is responsible for overseeing all packaging team and maintaining daily operations of the department. They will also be expected to assist in senior management and fulfill tasks as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervises and acts as a liaison to Cartridge filling and Gram teams and the daily operations.
• Monitor and review employee work performance.
• Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct deficiencies.
• Track time and attendance of direct reports
• Train & assign duties to packaging employees
• Maintain equipment and partner with machine maintenance operators for major troubleshooting or repairs.
• Confer with senior management on work activities, operations and personnel needs.
• Quality Control extract material into cartridges and dabbables while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Ability to go through a tedious checklist, thoroughly.
• Exhibit high attention to detail and record data as appropriate.
• Gram track log review
• Packaging production tracking sheet
• METRC entries and reviews
• Quality control of finished packaging
• Collecting packaging needed to fulfill daily tasks
• Manage time efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality products.
• Overseeing sanitize & cleanup of all processing areas throughout the day.
• Comfortability working in a temperature controlled environment between 61-63 degrees.
• Expected to work in a lab environment. All employees are expected to wear a company provided smock, beard net for facial hair (if applicable), hair must be tied back tightly or permitted to wear a hat.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• Minimum 1 year management experience, required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• OLCC Marijuana Handlers Permit
• Must be minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique.
• Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and co-workers
• Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-10 hour work periods without losing quality.
• Must work well in a group and independently; demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work seated in a temperature controlled workspace (cooler) for long periods of time.
• Close visual focus required.
• This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
