Job Title: Pre-Print Operator

Reports to: Director of Operations

Job Summary:

Adhere and process daily operations of the printing press, handle procurement of materials and ensure the processes are working according to specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Run printing process (e.g. pre press files, load/unload machines, programming cut files, etc.)
• Oversee quality control of materials printed
• Layout and pre-press work prior to printing
• Minor repairs of machines and routine maintenance
• Operating finishing machinery
• Proofreading promotional/marketing materials as well as adding new products on the company website.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must know OLCC labeling compliance requirements
• Advanced computer literacy skills
• 1 years experience Adobe Creative Suite and Flexidraw, MS Office Suite, Mac and PC
• Must be comfortable giving and receiving positive and constructive feedback to co-workers and team as appropriate.
• Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, especially with direct supervisors and co-workers.
• Be a reliable team player.
• Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique and be willing to receive and apply constructive feedback.
• Ability to multi-task with great efficiency over 8-10 hour work periods without losing quality.
• Must work well in a group and independently; demonstrate self-motivation and initiative.
• Must pass any and all required pre-employment screenings
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Education and Experience:

• 1 years print industry experience
• Graphic design experience or schooling (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be minimum of 21 years of age

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs+
• Must have comfortability working with some odors associated with ink (respirators and masks provided if needed)
• Must be able to work standing and/or seated for long periods of time.
• Close visual focus required.
• Frequent, bending, climbing, crawling, reaching and standing
